If all goes to plan, we shall be working in Dodoma, Tanzania’s capital city during 2011.

I shall be working at Canon Andrea Mwaka, the school we visited in 2010. Visit http://www.cams.ac.tz/joomla/ for more details!

I’m likely to be helping teach Maths to Form 1 (our Year 8) as well as Biology and Chemistry to Forms 3 and 4 (equivalent to our Years 10 and 11) as they prepare for their IGCSEs.

I’ve also been asked to help with day-to-day finances and admin…maybe get involved with reviewing procedures and training. There will be a lot for me to learn!

If you'd like to help CAMS, you could use this as your Search Engine. If you are buying online, you could sign up (it's free) here. If you can get what you want through this link, the site will donate to CAMS - it won't cost you anything!

Brian will be working with the team that we met from Carpenters Kids ( http://www.thecarpenterskidstz.org/ ). You can see some of the people involved back in our 2010 diary. He will be assisting with management, co-ordination and development of the Program – it’s based in Dodoma. The main aim is to get the 10,000 most vulnerable children from the Diocese of Central Tanganyika's 200 parishes, into primary education. The children are generally HIV orphans or have, quite simply, been abandoned. The Program also endeavours to provide support for secondary education and emergency healthcare.

We intend to visit our Kenyan friends whilst we are in East Africa and pass on any donations. If you would like to stay involved yourself, you can donate online, using PayPal, through the website run by the small but very active group in Canada here: http://www.heartbeatministries.ca/JosephProject/IntroPageToJoseph.htm.

If you’d rather deal direct with Bishop Dickson, his ever-increasing family at home with the Ng’ambwa Children

not to mention Heartbeat High School, we have found the Post Office to be the most efficient and economic route. You can send a MoneyGram for a reasonable fee and it can be picked up 10 minutes later in the Co-operative Bank at Voi. All you need is details of who to send it to (which we can supply – or you can email Dickson at this address: opiayo2004@yahoo.com ). You then notify the recipient of the security question/answer and that’s it! The Post Office also provides the most reliable way of getting small- to middle-sized parcels direct and unopened to the Home.

We hope to keep you posted as things develop, so, if you are interested, keep an eye on Personal Messages here: http://www.timwayhomecollege.co.uk/funk/index.php for the Diary!
